About

I was born in Flagstaff, Arizona, but grew up in Durham, North Carolina. I received my undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Asheville. In 2004 I moved to San Francisco, and in 2006 I completed my MFA in Creative Writing at the New College of California. I currently exist as that lovely combo of office drone and struggling artist.

My fiction and poetry has been published in Slave magazine, The Blotter, Word Riot, and In Our Own Words: A Generation Defining Itself. I have a pending article about exhibitionism entitled “Skin” in the debut issue of Whore magazine, which will be available Winter 07. My previous work experience includes copyediting and grantwriting, and I am available for freelance assignments. For further information, please contact me at rheadw@gmail.com.
